The Brief
Leverage as much PR as possible to promote one of Pentax’s more popular products the W20 waterproof Pentax digital camera with an aim to sell 1500 units.

The Concept
Using PR alone, The Taboo Group orchestrated competitions and giveaways in relevant publications such as The Herald Sun, Ralph Magazine and Nova 100 to name a few.

The Result

With an outstanding 90% success rate, the Pentax W20 was received well by all contacted media. The Pentax W20 reached an estimated 3,461,000 consumers and industry nationally – with product features in Herald Sun and Daily Telegraph respectively, Australia’s biggest selling newspapers. The W20 had features also in FHM, Ralf and Nova 100, just to name a few.
