Yes, that’s correct, Chupa Chups have turned 50 years old!

It’s hard to imagine a world without this defining sweet, and the quirky fun-loving personality that we have all come to know and love.

Helping celebrate their 50 year milestone, and engage a whole new generation of lollipop-lovers, Taboo actioned a series of installations, artistic and multi-media displays in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.

To highlight Chupa Chups colourful history and fun loving, pioneering spirit, installations featured: new and historically significant artwork, classic design and advertising, projections and lighting displays, and a day-long festival with live bands, DJ’s and all-round entertainment.

The event served not only to mark the 50th year milestone, but also educated the public on the revolutionary sweet that has become one Spanish family’s legacy. Taboo made sure that Chupa Chups rightly received the fiesta of fun that this iconic lollipop deserves.
